Exciting news! True Media Foundation is jammin' with musician, Barry Chapman, to to bring a fresh digital video learning experience to youth. The four day intensive workshop is designed to provide students, ages 13-20, (at all levels of familiarity with new media and /or performance), with the skills to produce a professional music video production.
Professional producer, Christopher Tribble, has mentored youth in new media since starting the all-youth TV series, "BE HEARD!" in 2000. Now "BE HEARD!" airs Wednesday nights during the school year on beheardtv.com. The live shows are produced entirely by and for youth.
Over the course of this workshop, you will be part of a youth media crew that will participate in every aspect of a music video production. From on-camera musical / acting talent to camera or audio operation to direction and editing, there will be opportunities to learn new skills or sharpen ones that you already have.
Each day will begin and end at our studio in the former Carbondale Middle School (now called the Bridges Center). Day One will include introductions, learning the basics, hands-on practice, and storyboarding the song to be made into a music video. Day Two will be all about setting up our production truck and shooting single camera cutaways. Position assignments will be given on Day Three, which will be spent rehearsing. Day Four will be the actual recording day. At the end of the workshop, you'll receive your own DVD copy of the final production.
