"Making History of Our Own"
“Making History of Our Own” is a collection of video vignettes featuring some of Garfield County’s oldest residents. The colorful histories of the county’s communities are captured in the memoirs of its longtime residents, while True Media’s student participants develop technical and life skills that will enrich their futures.
Mentored by professional producer, Christopher Tribble, founder of True Media Foundation, local middle and high school aged students participate in all aspects of pre-production, production, and post-production.
The first “Making History of Our Own” vignettes were produced during the summer of 2006. Currently, the “History” footage is being enhanced, twisted, and tweaked into a documentary to be aired throughout Colorado on Rocky Mountain PBS stations and on Denver PBS station, KBDI –Channel 12.
